United Help Emergency Foundation is a Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing socially, environmentally and economically sustainable affordable housing solutions and support for people experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to provide safe shelter (TINY HOME), and to offer programs and services in support of the hopes and needs of women dealing with life issues. As an evolution of our tiny home village project, we have designed a tiny home specifically for vulnerable women and mothers with young children. United Help Emergency Foundation is looking for partners to turn meanwhile un-used land into safe and supported accommodations for women at risk of, or currently experiencing homelessness.
Each tiny-home will be approximately 320 and 400 square feet made up of a living/kitchen area and one/two bedroom/bathroom. As well this project will be sustainably designed and oriented to maximize year-round livability; meet Livable Design Guidelines; and integrate employment and skills training development.
Cost estimate / house: $94.000
We planning to build 15 tiny house in the village.
The complete village costs between $1.5 million and $2.5 million to build! All homes come fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and sleeping area.
